PW2PA Augusta Highway, Nantawarra Road Intersection
The Augusta Highway serves as a major transport corridor connecting Port Wakefield and Port Augusta and forms part of the National Land Transport Network, delivering vital connectivity to regional South Australia and interstate destinations.
The Augusta Highway Duplication Project, valued at $260 million and managed by the Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT), has engaged the PW2PA Alliance to deliver the duplication works between Port Wakefield and Lochiel.
A key component of this initiative is the intersection of the Highway with Nantawarra Road, which has been illuminated to Category V5 standards. This has been achieved through the installation of 17 ASPIRE 75W Solar Lighting systems supplied by Green Frog Systems.
In this abstract, Green Frog Systems will present an overview of their experience in roadway lighting, detailing the specific requirements of this project that necessitated the use of high-output solar lighting poles.
